Dedications
“Bodo”
This program, and everything we stand for, is built on the foundation of those who shaped our understanding of the working dog.
We are deeply grateful to the mentors whose influence continues to guide our training, our standards, and our respect for the partnership between dog and handler.
To Sigbot “Bodo” Winterhelt (Born 1926–May 30, 2018)
a master of the versatile hunting dog and a true steward of the craft.
His teachings went far beyond obedience, emphasizing instinct, trust, and the deep connection between dog and handler.
Though he has passed, his legacy lives on in the principles we apply every day.
“Cowboy”
To Rob Ocker, known to many as “Cowboy” of Cowboys’ Kennels in Athol, Kansas, a respected horseman and dog man whose knowledge, experience, and straightforward approach continue to influence our work today.
His impact is not just in what he has taught, but in how he continues to live and represent the standard of a true working dog.
Their combined influence is reflected in every dog we train.
We carry their lessons forward with respect, integrity, and a commitment to doing things the right way, in the field, where it matters most.
